Our Rating:   9.8/10

Gamers are always on the lookout for the perfect gaming headset that provides the maximum amount of comfort with superior sound quality. The audio gods have offered us something different. The EPOS H6PRO is designed for the needs of the gamer, casual, and pro alike.

But does it check off all the boxes for what your average gamer considers a perfect headset? Well, it comes pretty close. High-quality build, premium comfort, and supreme audio quality definitely help it to stand out.

Speaking of comfort, the EPOS H6PRO is incredibly comfortable, primarily due to its ergonomic design. The spacious earcups, made of soft leatherette material, fit even the largest ears and provide plenty of breathing room that helps prevent sweating during long gaming sessions.

Similar to all Sennheiser headsets, the headband is adjustable and padded for comfort and has a nice snug fit on any head size and the clamping force is just right, too, making it one of the best headsets in terms of comfort.

Furthermore, the audio quality of the H6PRO can be described in one word: immersive. It’s equipped with a Hi-Fi speaker system that delivers a crisp, clear sound with an excellent balance between bass and treble. Plus, the 50 mm drivers have a frequency range of 10 Hz to 20 kHz, making them perfect for all-around usage.

In addition, the built-in microphone is clear and filters out ambient noise to ensure excellent communication with your teammates. It’s also detachable for when you want to enjoy the sounds and not talk to anybody.

Now, when you first pick up the EPOS H6PRO, you can immediately tell it was built to last. Although it’s mostly plastic, its construction is durable enough and made with quality materials. Not only is it sure to withstand wear and tear for years, but it also comes with a two-year warranty, giving you some extra peace of mind.

In terms of connectivity, it’s designed to work with all your devices. It has a 3.5mm jack for PCs, consoles, and mobile devices and a USB-C adapter for even more connectivity.

Other cool features include a volume wheel on the right earbud for ease of access and a swivel-to-mute microphone which saves from always looking for the mute button during games or video calls. The additional carry case is perfect for protecting the beauty from scratches while traveling.

The drawbacks are the usual suspects with these headsets and are only drawbacks for certain people. The EPOS H6PRO has no RGB or wireless connectivity. That and it’s a tad on the pricier side, but not by much.

So, does the EPOS H6PRO live up to its name of being an epic headset? Yes, it does. It offers crisp, clear sound with its 50mm drivers and doesn’t need Dolby 7.1 to achieve it. The built quality and comfort are exceptional, and the unique design makes it stand out.

But is it worth the extra price when others do the same for less? Yes, it is. In our opinion, this headset is not aimed at gamers of all ages. It’s for a more mature audience: people who have grown up gaming their whole lives and are now looking for something with more quality than flashiness.

2. ASUS ROG Delta S

Frequency Response: 20 Hz – 40,000 Hz | Impedance: 32 Ohms | Connection Type: USB Type-A, USB Type-C | Weight: 300 g

ASUS ROG Delta S

REASONS TO BUY

  • Fantastic audio quality
  • Comfortable ergonomic D-shape ear cups and soft headband
  • Two sets of ear pads (fabric & leatherette)
  • High-quality build
  • Support 7.1 surround on PC
  • Great connectivity options
  • Clear microphone
  • Fairly lightweight
  • RGB

REASONS TO AVOID

  • No Xbox support
  • Premium price

Our Rating:   9.7/10

Quality is synonymous with the name ASUS. They’ve been in the game for years and know exactly what the people want. They went one step further when establishing their Republic of Gamers line aimed at all of us.

Today, we are breaking down the ASUS ROG Delta S gaming headset, which offers superior sound quality and comfort in a beautiful high-end package. ASUS lives up to its name once again with a fantastic product that has a lot to offer.

Comfort is paramount in a gaming headset, and ASUS knows this better than anyone. They design everything with gamers in mind, meaning long hours in front of a screen with many abrupt movements depending on the game.

The ROG Delta S has large ergonomic D-shaped earcups that fit snuggly around your ears and are made from a hybrid fabric-leather material for maximum breathability to reduce heat buildup.

In addition, you get a second set of ear pads made from leatherette, which aren’t as breathable but instead offer better sound isolation for better immersion.

Plus, the adjustable aluminum headband has really soft, comfortable padding and a moderate clamping force that won’t constrict your head even after long sessions. All in all, the comfort is top-notch.

The audio quality on these is exquisite, to say the least. The 50mm ASUS Essence drivers are built with neodymium magnets to produce excellent audio for gaming, music, and movies, delivering rich bass, clear mids, and crisp highs.

Additionally, the headset has four preset sound modes (FPS, RPG, Racing, and Music) and can be further customized with the Armoury Crate software. It also supports virtual 7.1 surround sound for more immersive experiences on PC.

Now, the ASUS ROG Delta S has a very solid build quality you can feel when you first pick it up. The combination of aluminum, metal hinges, braided cables, and RGB LEDs makes this one feel like one of the highest-quality headsets on the list. This one will last for quite some time.

Furthermore, the noise-canceling microphone is great, providing clear audio to your teammates. It is also detachable and has an LED indicator to show when it’s muted, which is a very convenient feature.

In terms of connectivity, the ROG Delta S comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable for PC, PS5, Switch, and Android devices and a USB-C to USB-A adapter for older PCs, covering nearly all popular platforms.

But nothing is perfect, and the ASUS ROG Delta S does have some drawbacks. One very important one is that it can’t be used on Xbox consoles due to compatibility issues with USB-C audio devices, so it’s definitely not for those looking for a great all-in-one headset.

In short, the ASUS ROG Delta S is one of the most well-built and comfortable gaming headsets we’ve used in a while. As if that wasn’t enough, ASUS saw fit to load it with extra features and impressive audio quality that, even for the asking price, is a no-brainer.

3. Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X

Frequency Response: 15 Hz – 28,000 Hz | Impedance: 50 Ohms | Connection Type: 3.5 mm | Weight: 290 g

Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X

REASONS TO BUY

  • Excellent all-day comfort
  • Swappable velour earpads
  • Rich and well-balanced sound
  • Crisp microphone
  • Good overall build quality
  • Lightweight design
  • Flip-up-to-mute mic
  • Detachable cable

REASONS TO AVOID

  • No wireless option
  • Audio bleed due to open-back design
  • All-plastic construction

Our Rating:   9.7/10

Anyone who is a true audiophile has heard of the name Sennheiser and knows their headsets are always top-of-the-line.

So what happens if you add another audio company to collaborate with them and design a new gaming headset? That’s what we are looking at today.

Sennheiser and Drop (formerly Massdrop) came together to develop the PC37X based on Seinheisser’s existing gaming headset design to create something truly unique.

Upon first inspection, the standout feature of the Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X is its open-back design. Its main function is to provide a natural and spacious soundstage that enhances every detail of the game’s environment, from subtle noises to big explosions; it is perfect for gamers looking to be absorbed into the game.

But nothing in this world is perfect, and the PC37X’s most remarkable feature is also its biggest flaw. The open-back design doesn’t do a very good job of isolating external sounds, so if you live in a noisy house and don’t have a place to isolate yourself, this headset is not for you.

In addition, Sennheiser headsets’ comfort levels are always top-notch, and this one is no exception. Large velvet ear pads provide a comfy and quite spacious fit (even for us with big ears) and good breathability for long sessions.

Plus, the clamping force of the padded headband is just right and ensures a snug and secure fit.

As we already mentioned, the audio quality of the PC37X does not disappoint in the least. It uses the same drivers as the Sennheiser PC 373D, which stands out for its sound clarity. It’s ideal not just for gamers but also for music fans who want balanced and detailed sound across different genres.

Build quality on the PC37X is also very high. The durable plastic frame withstands your usual amount of wear and tear, and the cable is braided, which offers more protection and adds the higher quality look and feel of the headset overall.

One nice feature is the integrated volume wheel on the right ear cup, which makes for easy sound adjusting. Another is its overall versatility; it has two 3.5mm plugs for audio and mic input/output, so it can be used on any device, from smartphones to consoles and PCs.

Lastly, the flip-to-mute feature on the mic is very convenient, unlike toggling the mute button during online play or conference calls.

So, to sum up, the Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X is a great overall gaming headset with incredible sound quality, versatility, and comfort. It’s not perfect, though; some people will be disappointed by the lack of surround sound, wireless connectivity, and no RGB.

But Sennheiser plays to its strengths; the PC37X offers excellent sound quality at an affordable price. And it definitely isn’t a headset you should ignore.

4. HyperX Cloud II

Frequency Response: 15 Hz – 25,000 Hz | Impedance: 60 Ohms | Connection Type: 3.5 mm, USB Type-A | Weight: 318 g

HyperX Cloud II

REASONS TO BUY

  • Great sound quality with surround sound
  • Powerful bass, clear mids
  • Extremely comfortable
  • High-quality build
  • Works with all devices
  • Great value for money
  • Detachable mic and cable for storage and replacement

REASONS TO AVOID

  • No RGB
  • Bit heavier
  • Some audio leakage

Our Rating:   9.6/10

By far, one of the most popular headsets among gamers, and with good reason, is the HyperX Cloud II. Every new version of the Cloud series that is released comes with a variety of improvements over the previous gen, and the HyperX Cloud II may be the best so far at the asking price.

With its aluminum frame, super soft earcups, and 7.1 surround support, this one will be a hard one to pass up.

It’s a gaming headset designed to sit on heads for as long as possible without us realizing it’s there, so comfort is paramount. The HyperX Cloud II has large earcups made with memory foam and covered in a soft leatherette material, which molds to your ears for a comfy fit and feels smooth against your skin.

It has a padded, adjustable headband that offers a snug and secure fit without squeezing your head too much. On top of that, the clamping force is just right, not too tight or loose, which makes it ideal for long gaming sessions, and the earcups are pretty breathable, so no sweaty ears with this one.

Further, the build quality of the Cloud II is very impressive. The frame is made of aluminum, which makes it very durable compared to pretty much all plastic-made headbands.

In addition, the cable is braided to provide extra protection and can also be detached for easy storage, but more importantly, replacement; you don’t need to buy a whole new headset just because of the cable. Plus, the mic is also detachable, so you can remove it during your solo runs.

Next up is sound quality, and the HyperX Cloud II does not disappoint in the least. Equipt with 53mm drivers (larger than most others in this category), they deliver powerful bass, crisp highs, and clear mids.

Thanks to virtual 7.1 surround, the soundstage is vast, which is excellent for first-person shooters. A unique feature of this headset is the ability to switch between 7.1 and stereo depending on the type of game you’re playing.

Now, there are a few drawbacks that may deter you from grabbing this headset immediately. The lack of RGB lighting might be a total dealbreaker for those of you who like some flash aesthetics with your sound quality.

The biggest drawback to an otherwise near-perfect gaming headset is console usage. The HyperX Cloud II can connect to consoles, but only as a stereo headset; it needs a PC or Mac to utilize the 7.1 surround sound.

In short, The HyperX Cloud II is a fantastic gaming headset that surpasses expectations in both comfort and audio quality. Its lightweight aluminum frame is built to last, and the memory foam earcups provide a comfortable and secure fit. The 53mm drivers and 7.1 surround sound provide incredibly powerful and immersive audio, and at its current price point, it’s an absolute no-brainer.

5. HyperX Cloud Stinger 2

Frequency Response: 10 Hz – 28,000 Hz | Impedance: N/A | Connection Type: 3.5 mm | Weight: 272 g

HyperX Cloud Stinger 2

REASONS TO BUY

  • Very affordable price
  • Most comfortable budget gaming headset
  • Great sound quality with DTS Headphone: X Spatial Sound
  • Comfortable memory foam ear cushions
  • Swivel-to-mute mic
  • Compatible with various devices
  • Clear voice capture

REASONS TO AVOID

  • Build quality feels cheap and flimsy
  • Non-detachable cables
  • High-end sounds are a little harsh

Our Rating:   9.5/10

We aren’t going to beat around the bush with this one. The HyperX Cloud Stinger 2, the successor of the very popular Stinger, is an entry-level gaming headset that offers great sound and comfort at a great price and is our pick for gamers on a very tight budget.

Like anything in the budget category, things are missing, and rightfully so; it’s stripped down to the bones to give you precisely what you need. If your cash flow is limited and you want the best you can get in the comfort and audio department, buy this.

In terms of comfort, HyperX provides premium comfort without the luxury price tag. The memory foam ear cushions sit nicely around your ears, and the earcups swivel up to 90 degrees for a better fit, but they also help for easy storage and transportation.

Additionally, the adjustable headband is made of plastic and a pleather fabric where it comes into contact with the head; it is not the highest quality, but it is not terrible either.

While the comfort and fit are excellent, it isn’t the most breathable headset; after prolonged use, your head will feel fine, but your ears will probably feel a little hot and sweaty.

Considering the price, the audio quality of the HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 is impressive. It won’t blow you away by any means, but the 50mm drivers produce strong bass, which is great for explosions and gunshots.

The headset also features a designated button on the left earcup that toggles DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio, creating a virtual surround sound effect so you can hear where sounds are coming from in-game.

Furthermore, the Cloud Stinger 2 build quality, sadly, feels a bit cheap and flimsy. It has no metal or rubber components that would add to its sense of durability. It reflects the budget price of the headset, and because of that feels like portability and lifespan are reduced significantly.

Lastly, this headset’s extra “features” are standard in most others, but nothing unique on this one. It has a flip-to-mute microphone, which does a decent job of reducing background noise, and its 3.5mm audio jack makes it compatible with various devices. That’s it.

The HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 was designed for those on a tight budget. The drawbacks of that are its plastic build quality, low breathability over long gaming sessions, and no unique features.

What you do get is high-quality sound which is even further enhanced by DTS Spatial Audio, a comfortable fit for most heads, and a good noise-canceling mic. It’s not for those looking for something special. As we already said, it’s for those who want the best bang for their buck on a tight budget, and if that’s you, it doesn’t disappoint in the slightest.

6. Razer BlackShark V2

Frequency Response: 12 Hz – 28,000 Hz | Impedance: 32 Ohms | Connection Type: 3.5 mm, USB Sounds Card | Weight: 262 g

Razer BlackShark V2

REASONS TO BUY

  • Highly comfortable fit with memory foam
  • Great overall audio quality
  • Exceptional surround sound
  • Good bass and treble
  • Clear detachable microphone with a windscreen
  • Customizable sound profile with Synapse
  • Convenient on-ear controls (mute & volume control)
  • Lightweight and quality build

REASONS TO AVOID

  • No extra features
  • Some sound leakage at high volumes
  • Higher price

Our Rating:   9.5/10

Razer has been a household name over the years in gaming headsets and for a good reason. The Kraken series has done amazingly well since its debut, and Razer capitalized on that and expanded its lineup to feature even more audio products, such as the incredible Leviathan.

Today, we are looking at the Razer BlackShark V2, a gaming headset that checks nearly all the boxes, mainly comfort and audio quality, for a solid (not great) price for a Razer product.

Comfort is the most crucial aspect of a gaming headset. It doesn’t matter how wonderfully crisp the audio is if you can’t keep it on your head for more than an hour.

To that end, the Razer BlackShark V2 has plush memory foam earcups that conform to your ear shape; it does a great job at blocking out noise so you can focus your game, music, or video and not get distracted every time your stomach growls because you’ve forgotten to get a snack.

Also, the cushions are breathable, so your ears won’t get hot or sweaty over long sessions. The headband rests comfortably on your head, thanks to its lightweight and soft cushion, and it doesn’t have too strong a clamping force that would make you feel like your head is in a vice.

In terms of audio quality, the BlackShark V2 delivers. It provides exceptional audio quality thanks to THX 7.1 spatial surround sound and the 50mm drivers, which ensure stunning clarity in all vocals.

If you’re a competitive FPS gamer, you’ll appreciate the surround sound as the THX spatial audio works great–It creates realistic 3D soundscapes to enhance your immersion and awareness in games.

Quality-wise, the BlackShark V2 feels very sturdy in your hands. Upon first pick up, you can immediately see it is a very well-built headset. We’ve had our testing sample for nearly 3 years, and it works and looks like new.

Additionally, it has a detachable microphone, which is convenient for those who prefer solo games and do not need it. That said, the microphone is solid for the most part and does a great job at rejecting noise from the back and sides, thanks to a super-cardioid pattern.

Of course, you want your headsets to work with as many units as possible, and the BlackShark V2 delivers. It works with all consoles and PCs via a 3.5mm jack or USB DAC. For those of you looking for wireless connectivity, Razer also makes a ‘Pro’ model, but that one will cost you around $60 more.

All this sounds great, right? It’s a perfect headset except for one thing… the price. The Razer BlackShark V2 is relatively expensive compared to other headsets in this category, which is expected since it is a Razer, and you are also paying for the brand name.

While it’s a perfectly functional headset, it still doesn’t give you anything unique that makes it stand out. No wireless connectivity or RGB (for those who want it) puts us on the fence about buying it.

If you are a fan of Razer and want all your peripherals to match, then it probably is worth the price. But if you don’t mind mixing and matching, you can get the same features elsewhere at a slightly better price.

7. EPOS | Sennheiser GAME ONE

Frequency Response: 15 Hz – 28,000 Hz | Impedance: 50 Ohms | Connection Type: 3.5 mm | Weight: 300 g

EPOS Sennheiser GAME ONE

REASONS TO BUY

  • Excellent, natural sound quality
  • Open-back design offers great airflow
  • XXL earcups offer supreme comfort
  • Multiple connectivity options
  • Flip-to-mute mic
  • Volume wheel on the earcup
  • Lightweight and sturdy design

REASONS TO AVOID

  • No EQ settings
  • Some audio leakage
  • No extra features

Our Rating:   9.5/10

When it comes to comfort, Sennheiser is the go-to for many gamers, and the EPOS Sennheiser GAME ONE makes it easy to understand why. Two masters in the field came together to create something truly remarkable at a ridiculously low price.

Focusing more on comfort and sound quality, they designed a headset that stands out in build quality, functionality, and simplicity (which can be a good thing sometimes). Let’s take a closer look and see what makes the GAME ONE special.

As we said earlier, this headset focuses on simplicity, making the crucial aspects as perfect as possible.

In terms of comfort, it achieves that goal. Its lightweight design, extra large open-back earcups, and plush velvet pads are meant to be comfortable even during the most extended gaming sessions, with excellent airflow to avoid those hot, sweaty ears.

In addition, the padded adjustable headband offers a snug and secure fit with a moderate clamping force so as not to squeeze your head too much, providing maximum comfort in all aspects.

The audio quality on the EPOS Sennheiser GAME ONE is top-notch. Its signature sound dynamics, which are engineered for incredibly natural and accurate sound, and its open acoustics design produce an extremely natural spatial sound that helps your immersion by creating dynamic realism in games, music, or movies.

Furthermore, the 50mm neodymium drivers produce clear highs, balanced mids, and powerful lows, and even though it has no software or sound modes to customize, it works well with most games without the need for tweaking.

In terms of quality, you have nothing to worry about with the GAME ONE, as it is very well-built considering the price. With metal hinges, braided cables, and durable plastic parts, it feels lightweight but very sturdy in your hands.

Its detachable noise-canceling microphone has an LED indicator when muted, which is always a nice feature to see included on affordable headsets, as is the volume wheel on the right earcup. It comes with cables for connection to 3.5mm plugs and 1.2mm for certain consoles and mobile devices.

The drawbacks of the EPOS Sennheiser GAME ONE headset are only its lack of features. It’s a straightforward, high-quality gaming headset with no added bells and whistles.

It doesn’t have any RGB, nor does it support 7.1 surround sound, and no software to tweak settings or save presets. The biggest drawback for some gamers could be its open-back design, which can cause sound leakage and make it difficult to use in loud areas.

Overall, the EPOS Sennheiser GAME ONE is easily one of the most comfortable gaming headsets on the market. It’s designed with quality and simplicity in mind, offering incredible sound and extreme comfort in a nice, affordable package.

It’s meant for gamers who value natural and accurate sound quality and comfort above all else and don’t want to burden themselves with features they will never use.

8. HyperX Cloud Revolver

Frequency Response: 10 Hz – 23.200 Hz | Impedance: 32 Ohms | Connection Type: 3.5 mm, USB | Weight: 375 g

HyperX Cloud Revolver

REASONS TO BUY

  • HyperX 7.1 surround sound works great
  • Compatible with all popular platforms
  • High-quality audio
  • Well-balanced sound
  • Very comfortable
  • Durable steel frame
  • Great noise filtering mic

REASONS TO AVOID

  • No software support
  • No RGB
  • Audio control box feels tacked on
  • Heavy

Our Rating:   9.3/10

HyperX is coming at us again with another strong contender in the gaming headset ring. This time, we’re talking about the HyperX Cloud Revolver gaming headset, one that offers excellent sound, superb comfort, and multiple connectivity options for a wide array of devices.

Add to that a really great bang-for-buck price point, and it has the potential to be perfect. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves; a few things are missing from an otherwise great package.

When it comes to comfort and fit, the HyperX Cloud Revolver is equipped with large, comfortable memory foam earcups that fit very nicely around the ears. The premium leatherette is soft and smooth to prevent any irritations to the skin.

Additionally, the earcups have excellent airflow, so your ears don’t get hot and sweaty on long gaming runs. Plus, the headband is adjustable to allow a perfect fit on any sized head, and the clamping force is near perfect, sitting firmly in place without it feeling constricting.

In other words, comfort on the Cloud Revolver is stellar, as is the build quality. With its sturdy metal frame, lightweight design, and braided cable, the HyperX Cloud Revolver is built to last and can stand even the most grueling wear and tear.

Audio is no joke to the HyperX Cloud Revolver, and it shows it immediately with its 50mm directional driver that delivers excellent sound quality. It has a frequency response range of 12Hz to 23kHz, which, along with HyperX 7.1 surround sound, helps provide a truly rich and immersive experience on a vast sound stage.

Another audio feature we are seeing a lot of nowadays is a detachable microphone, which does a good job of reducing background noise for clearer communication.

When it comes to the variety of uses, the Cloud Revolver is a relative Swiss Army Knife. The headset is compatible with PCs, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X/S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices, and you can choose to connect with either a USB or a 3.5mm audio jack.

Another perk of this headset is that the HyperX 7.1 surround sound works on consoles supporting USB audio.

But truthfully, not everything is great about the HyperX Cloud Revolver, so let’s get into the drawbacks. The headset doesn’t have any software support to try more customizable options or settings.

It does try to make up for it with a USB audio control box, but it feels like an afterthought they threw in last minute. Also no RGB lighting on this one.

Lastly, it’s one of the heaviest gaming headsets on the market, which does take away from the comfort. So, while the fit is great for most head sizes, the sheer weight of this headset could put a strain on your neck during long gaming sessions.

What can we say about the HyperX Cloud Revolver? It’s a great gaming headset that offers high-quality audio and superior comfort, and that’s about it. Not many extra features worth mentioning; it’s definitely not for those looking for something a little more extravagant.

The asking price was too high to even consider when it originally came. However, time has passed, and with the price having dropped to almost half what it originally was, it’s a great deal for what you’re getting.

9. Logitech G733 Lightspeed

Frequency Response: 20 Hz – 20,000 Hz | Impedance: 39 Ohms  | Connection Type: Wireless via USB | Battery Life: Up to 29 hours

Logitech G733 Lightspeed

REASONS TO BUY

  • Unique design
  • Stable wireless connection
  • Lightweight construction
  • Very comfortable for medium-sized heads
  • Customizable EQ
  • Blue Voice Mic
  • Long battery life (up to 29 hours)
  • Accurate sound profile

REASONS TO AVOID

  • Poor noise isolation
  • Low clamping force
  • Not many extra features
  • Pricey

Our Rating:   9.2/10

A household name in gaming peripherals and more, Logitech is here with its attempt at one of the most comfortable wireless gaming headsets.

The G733 Lightspeed is definitely a beauty to look at with its unique angular-shaped earcups. But looks aren’t everything, and it does have a few features that the masses may not widely accept.

That being said, Logitech is synonymous with quality; you can never really go wrong with one of their products.

As always, we start with comfort, the most crucial aspect of a good gaming headset. The G733 Lightspeed is comfortable, but it isn’t for everyone. It depends on your preference and, more importantly, your head size.

This headset uses a suspension headband rather than your typical adjustable one, which automatically adjusts to your head shape and evenly distributes the weight.

Now, that might sound like a good thing, not having to set the band every time you wear them, but this design choice doesn’t work too well for gamers with slightly smaller or bigger head sizes than the norm, which makes the headset too loose or tight.

In addition, the earcups are made of memory foam and covered with a breathable mesh fabric that feels quite soft. The size, however, is not ideal for larger ears, and it does let in a fair amount of ambient noise.

We said that looks-wise, the G733 Lightspeed is quite unique; sadly, the same can’t be said about the feel of it. Made mainly with plastic and rubber, it’s a very lightweight headset that makes it feel flimsy and a little cheap.

The clamping force isn’t great either; one good sneeze and it might fly off your head.

On the bright side, the audio quality on Logitech’s headsets is very high, and this one is no different. The Pro-G, 40mm drivers, deliver clear, detailed sound with good bass and treble. On top of that, it has a customizable EQ that lets you adjust the sound profile to your liking.

It also supports DTS Headphone:X 2.0 surround sound but only on PC – sorry, console fans. Its Blue Voice mic technology is a nice added touch; it enhances your voice quality, reduces background noise, and even has various filters and presets to suit your voice type.

As far as unique features go, the G733 Lightspeed is mainly about appearance. It has a unique design that comes in black, white, blue, and purple versions. It has Lightsync RGB lighting that lets you customize the headset even further. But that’s really all you get.

Lastly, you get a solid battery life of up to 29 hours with the lights off. With lights on, you can expect around 10-12 hours. Certainly not bad, but we’ve seen better headsets in this regard.

As we said in the opening, Logitech always offers quality; you just need to decide if it’s the right headset for you. The extra lightweight headset without many bells and whistles is incredibly stylish with its unique design and very comfortable for the right head.

But if you like some weight to your headset and loaded with features you didn’t know you needed, then this one might not be for you, no matter how cool it looks. In any case, we recommend trying one on before you decide to buy.

Our Rating:   8.9/10

The Astro A50 Wireless gaming headset is one that falls in the really premium category of the headset spectrum. It definitely looks luxurious with its sleek lines, unique magnetized stand, and exceptionally high price point. But is the price indicative of quality, function, and, most importantly, comfort?

In short, not really, no. It’s a great headset for what it’s offering, but with the price it’s asking, there are others that provide the same at a better price.

The Astro A50 Wireless gaming headset is comfortable enough to wear for extended periods. It’s built like most headsets, mainly plastic; it has soft earcups and a padded headband, all pretty standard.

Besides that, it’s a bulky headset, so it’s not very lightweight, and unfortunately, the earcups aren’t very breathable either, meaning your ears will sweat, especially if you like to move around a lot when you’re on a killing spree.

In addition. the Astro A50 is not for the traveling gamer. This is not the kind of headset you throw in your backpack and off you go. It connects wirelessly to its base station via a 2.4 GHz frequency band, which transmits the audio.

Another big drawback of the A50 is there are different versions of the base station depending on what you’re connecting to. That means you need one base station for your PC and a totally different one for your console. So not great when it comes to connectivity either.

For the price, you get some unique features to balance it out, such as Dolby Audio, the Astro Command Center software with EQ presets, customization options, a game/voice balance control, and more.

However, it has a mediocre battery life of about 15 hours, and as for sound quality, it’s OK for the price. It does a decent job on bass notes but not too well on high notes. That bass-heavy tendency affects the overall sound clarity as well.

So, what else can we say about the Astro A50 Wireless? Not that much. It’s not a terrible headset; it’s pretty comfortable, even if not the most breathable headset on the market. It has a unique design if you are a fan of the more bulky style headsets; it almost looks like something out of an Anime.

The base/charging station is a cool feature, but it would be even better if it had better connectivity options with consoles on the same station rather than buying a separate one. All of these don’t make it a bad headset; the price does. As it is right now, with so many other options out there, we believe the Astro A50 Wireless is not worth the cost.
