1. RESPAWN 110 Racing Style Gaming Chair
REASONS TO BUY
- Very Comfortable
- Quality Build
- Sleek Racing Design
- Extendable Footrest
- Pivoting Armrests
REASONS TO AVOID
- None
Our Rating: 9.7/10
I had a fairly hard time deciding which of my top three chairs deserved to be ranked as number one. It mostly came down to features and comfort which is why my winner for the top gaming chair for 2021 has to be the Respawn 110 Racing Style Gaming Chair.
It just offers the most, while staying under $200 with flexible use. The chair is black with accent colors in your choice of red, blue, purple and green. It is important to note however, that depending on the color you select, you might be going out of the $200 price range (specifically, if you select black with green).
The Respawn 110 definitely has a hefty, loud design. It’s race car-like build adds that distinct gamer-look to any setup. That said, if you’re also looking for a chair that blends into your office setup, maybe this one’s design would be a little over-the-top for you.
The seat height is between 19.25 inches and 22.50 inches. The seat depth is 21.25 inches, while the width between the armrests is 21 inches. The chair itself can put up with up to 275 pounds, although based on several reviews from gamers weighing over 200 pounds, the chair will start showing signs of wear within a fairly short amount of time (several months in).
The material making up this chair is a comfortable, bonded leather with highly contoured segmented support padding with ergonomic wings on either side of the back making it a very cushioned, pleasant seat to game or even recline in. Speaking of recline – the seat can be adjusted from a 90 to 155 degree tilt and infinite locking positions for increased comfort.
The padded armrests actually pivot with the chair as it tilts back, so you can still rest your arms comfortably on them no matter your angle. Similar to the Respawn 205, that I’ll mention later – the Respawn 110 comes with two adjustable pillows – one at the head and one providing lumbar support.
And now the feature that earned the Respawn 205 its #1 spot, its extendable footrest. When not needed, the footrest disappears under the chair (right next to the lever for adjusting the chair’s height). This, coupled with a nice recline, makes The Respawn 110 a pretty excellent option for gaming long hours, relaxing, or even working at the computer.
Exciting features, nice race car design and a fair price point bring the Respawn 110 as my favorite chair for just under $200.
2. Furious Gaming Chair Racing Style
REASONS TO BUY
- Comfortable Seat
- Attractive Racing Design
- Holds up to 350 Pounds
- Adjustable Armrests
- Durable
REASONS TO AVOID
- No Pillows
Our Rating: 9.6/10
If you’re after a chair that makes you really feel like you’re driving a Ferrari in the middle of the F1, but you don’t have the funds to actually get you that Ferrari, then the Furious Gaming Chair might be the next best thing.
In fact, it’s design is specifically made to match a racing bucket chair, so I’m serious about that F1 thing. So right off the bat, you’re going to feel cool sitting in this model, but yes, maybe the slightest bit silly. It is a chair with an intense design. All black with red racing stripes along its premium leather material (or white if you opt for the black chair with white accenting).
You’ll be sitting against a high-curved back with pretty breathable material so you shouldn’t worry too much about leaving sweat-marks on the back of your chair. Thanks to how tall the chair is, it forces you to sit properly, supporting your back and neck nicely.
The chair itself can be adjusted using simple, pneumatic controls to either raise or low your seat, or rock back in your chair. If you’re a physically excitable gamer, then this racing car of a chair should be able to keep up with your wild movements.
To recline the chair back, simply pull out on the control handle, or sit forward and push the control handle to get back into an upright position (90 to 160 degrees of recline to be exact).
So if you’re taking a break from the screen, just lay back and enjoy that nap. With so many options for positioning the back of the chair, you can use it for more than just the game room – it’s upright most position makes for an equally competitive office chair or even lounge chair.
The chair itself is fairly comfortable both from its leather material to its soft natural sponge interior, keeping the seat very comfortable for your gaming buns. All together, the chair can bear up to 350 pounds (the highest on our list), with a set of BIFMA certified wheels whose rollers passed the test 100,000 times without cracking.
With an integrated metal frame, premium leather, and high-density padding, the Furious Gaming Chair is a formidable chair to consider while also being fairly budget-conscious, coming in at just under $170.
I really have very little to hold against this tall chair (specifically, 49.6-53.4″ tall). My only negative is the design itself. If you’re going for something more subtle, this is not the chair for you. But if you wish you had made the cut for the F1 – this is your perfect redemption seat.
3. RESPAWN 205 Racing Style Gaming Chair
REASONS TO BUY
- Nice Gaming Design
- Comfortable
- Adjustable Armrests
- Neck and Lumbar Pillows
- Quality Build
REASONS TO AVOID
- Not as Comfortable as Other Chairs
Our Rating: 9.5/10
If you’re not quite interested in the design of the Furious Gaming Chair, but you’re still looking for something that will loudly express your interest in gaming while looking cooler than the ordinary office chair, you can consider the RESPAWN 205 Racing Style Gaming Chair.
While the brand name “respawn” always gave me pause… it does seem to imply I’ll be dying and respawning a lot while using their products, the chair itself is pretty nicely constructed and almost like a skinner, footrest-less cousin of the Respawn 110.
For a price point of just under $180, there’s a lot that you get with what you pay for. Right off the bat, the design is still similar to a racecar seat. All black with accents of color that seem to accentuate the racing feel. The chair comes in black with green, black with gray, black with blue or black with red.
The “Respawn” logo is printed nicely into the head of the chair. Where this chair differs greatly from the Furious Gaming Chair is in its structure. The chair comes with adjustable lumbar and headrest pillows to help you adjust the comfort to your own body.
You may like having this adjustable feature, because after hours of intense gameplay, a regular chair, no matter how comfortable, may start getting taxing on your neck and back. Being able to adjust the pillows accordingly helps relieve that tension.
The chair itself is made with a steel tube frame design covered by molded foam for added comfort and bonded leather. This hints at a long lasting life thanks to some extremely nice material. An interesting aspect here is the chair’s mesh back. If you’re an intense gamer who really puts in hours into their gameplay, having this breathable mesh back may be preferable to both the Respawn 110 and Furious Gaming chair’s leather.
Of course, this chair is not only great for gaming, it’s useful around the office as well (if your office is at home and your boss doesn’t mind you sitting in a race car chair). With its 130 degree back recile and 3 position tilt lock, you can command how you play, work or relax.
The armrests are adjustable as well. Tilt and lift controls are all located conveniently underneath the chair so you’re able to adjust pretty much on the fly. The Respawn seems slightly shorter than the Furious Gaming Chair overall, with a height of 36.22” as well as a lower weight capacity, coming in at only 275 pounds.
It also seems to be not the easiest to put together once it ships to you, which is why it sits in third place. Overall, this is not a terrible competitor. The price point is slightly lower and the chair is more breathable if you tend to get heated while gaming or simply game for a long time. The design and shape is a little less nice to look at when compared to its rivals, but I won’t hold that against the Respawn 205 too much.

4. X Rocker Pro Series H3
REASONS TO BUY
- Excellent for Console Gaming
- Quality Build
- Comfortable Seat
- Built-in Speakers
- Vibration Motors for More Immersion
REASONS TO AVOID
- Not Suited for PC Gaming
Our Rating: 9.4/10
Next up is a chair I would like to put higher on my list because of its exciting features, but can’t because it simply doesn’t roll with everyone (as a matter of fact, it doesn’t roll at all).
Right from the start, this is a floor chair with some impressive heft. The X Rocker Pro Series H3 is an all black leather seat with a simple X logo in its headrest. It’s 36” tall, 29” long and 24” wide, weighing at 17.3 pounds and capable of holding up 275 pounds. The seat itself is pretty comfortable with a wood and metal frame covered by padded vinyl to keep you sitting for hours while being easy to clean.
Now to the fun part and also why this chair isn’t for everyone. It’s more than a chair. It’s an experience. The chair connects to your media, whether that’s a video game, movie, tv show or even music.
With its four forward facing speakers, audio force modulation technology, and ported power subwoofers, the X Rocker Pro promises to completely immerse you in whatever you’re playing or watching. The audio quality is also pretty decent for a chair.
As if that weren’t enough, the chair also has vibration motors which sync up with the audio’s bass tones and cause it to vibrate. Want to play some Resident Evil Zero but just don’t feel scared enough? Well now you have a chair that vibrates as you jump out of your skin.
The chair is compatible with Xbox, PlayStation, Wii, MP3s, DVDs and most other gaming systems. The best part is, if your friends happen to have one of these chairs as well, they’re also able to plug in and enjoy the gaming experience with you using input and output jacks. The chair also folds in on itself for pretty easy storage and transportation, which is a great feature to keep the chair clean and away from undeserving siblings.
So what’s not to love, right? The reason this chair comes in fourth is, first because of its price point. At just under $200, it may be more expensive than you’re willing to pay for a chair. And second, the features it comes with may just be too over the top for you as well. And that’s completely fair. Not everyone needs to hear and feel the rumble of gunfire when they’re trying to focus on their gameplay.
The fact that it sits directly on the floor may also be problematic if your tv or monitor is placed too high up. The only other additional downside is its armrests. They stay pretty low on the chair and just aren’t the most comfortable for resting those weary elbows. However, if this still sounds like exactly what you’ve been missing from your gaming experience, then this chair is a solid purchase.
5. Bonzy Home Office Chair
REASONS TO BUY
- Great For Both Gaming and Office Use
- Solid Build Quality
- Comfortable
- Extendable Footrest
- Easy to Assemble
- Breathable Mesh Material
REASONS TO AVOID
- Not a Pure Gaming Chair
Our Rating: 9.3/10
Sometimes really cool racing chairs and vibrating floor seats are just not what you’re looking for. Maybe you’re more of a casual gamer, have to use a chair that can double as a normal looking office chair, or you just don’t feel cool enough to sit in something that awesome. That’s okay. Take a look at the Bonzy Home Reclining Office Chair.
This chair is very modestly designed. It does have the word “office” in its name after all. Getting right to it, the seat itself is 25.59” x 24.21” x 44.88” which is your pretty average size and shape for an office chair.
It has an impressive weight capacity of 200 pounds and made with some pretty long lasting, durable material from high density native sponge padding seat and mesh head rest to high strength nylon five-legged chassis, black coating high quality aluminum alloy pneumatic lifting rod.
Its PU padded soft arm rest and durable rolling casters with sturdy steel butterfly tray make this a very well made seat. It’s built well, to keep you seated. From all of those vocabulary words I just threw at you, just know that it is a pretty comfortable chair. Not so comfortable you’ll fall asleep in it, but just comfortable enough to last you the hours of gaming or working you plan on undertaking.
Thanks to its breathable mesh, you won’t be getting sweaty in this seat during intense gaming sessions or particular hot summer days. (If you’re anything like my family, the AC only comes out after the temperatures have hit 112 – making mesh chairs pretty helpful for survival).
One interesting feature that makes the Bonzy stand out is its concealed, telescopic adjustable footrest. Especially if you’re gaming, this, paired with its 90 – 135 degree recline, transforms the chair from a work-seat to a more relaxed gaming chair.
Once shipped, this chair is also fairly straightforward to put together. Always a plus if you’re not the most handy and just want to get to sitting. One major downside is that the Bonzy’s price point is actually just below $200. Personally, as decent as this chair is, it’s just that – decent.
For the price point, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this chair first, especially if you’re in need of a gaming chair. This is much more tame and suitable to office environments, but if you’re really not after something loud in design, you could find something to love about the Bonzy.
6. OFM Essentials Collection Racing Style
REASONS TO BUY
- Premium Diamond Stitching
- Quality Build
- Super Comfortable
- Good For Both Gaming and Office Use
- Long-lasting Design
REASONS TO AVOID
- Armrests are not adjustable
- Lacks Gaming Design
Our Rating: 9.3/10
In my list of great gaming chairs for under $200, I wanted to offer at least two options that didn’t have the distinct and obvious look of a gaming chair.
If you’re looking for something that can sit in both your game room and your office, then the OFM Essentials Collection Racing Style Chair is for you. If you’re not interested in having an office chair with mesh material like the Bonzy Office Chair, because you’re interested in something a bit more sleek and sexy then read on!
This OFM is made of premium, SofThread leather that not only looks formidable, but is very comfortable to sit in and breathable enough to keep you gaming or working for hours. The chair itself shows off premium, heat pressed diamond patterns to give you a luxurious chair for your office room, or an impressive, serious chair for your game room.
With its contoured, segmented and ultra-plush padded, you just might fall asleep while working. For dimensions, the chair stands at about 29” x 28” x 44.75” so it should comfortably seat both taller and shorter gamers.
The arms are not adjustable, but the chair height is, using the lever underneath the seat. I personally need adjustable arms because whether I’m gaming, or working, I want the option to fix the armrests accordingly. There’s also nothing worse than having a chair with arms too tall to fit under your desk.
This chair also tilts back somewhat and supports up to 250 pounds of weight. I do wish I could lock the tilt in place, but the fact that you can’t isn’t a dealbreaker.
I placed this chair underneath the Bonzy despite its comfortable leather, because the Bonzy does feature a footrest and mesh is much more breathable. It really comes down to your preference in materials and whether you’re looking for a chair with a footrest.
For slightly varying prices, you could either opt for the all-black OFM model, or black with hints of red, blue or white. Just note that anything other than the all black chair, changes the design of the diamond-pattern seat just slightly.
I personally prefer the all-black seat because it looks pretty luxurious and fits well in any room (except for a kitchen. Don’t do that.) I’m a fan of the OFM Chair, but couldn’t give it higher marks because of its limited adjustability and more straightforward design.
7. OFM Essentials Gaming Chair
REASONS TO BUY
- Allows For 180 Degree Recline
- Adjustable Armrests
- Lumbar and Head Support Pillows
- Fairly Comfortable
- Great Price
REASONS TO AVOID
- Not as Comfortable as Other Chairs
- Lacks Durability
Our Rating: 9.2/10
If you’d love to get the Respawn 205 or 110, but just don’t like the branding for whatever reason, a similar looking chair can be found in the OFM Essentials Collection Racing Style Chair. At just under $145, and a vaguely similar design, this could be a decent option for you.
The OFM is roughly 52” tall, 27” long and 28” wide. It’s also sturdy enough to manage up to 275 pounds of weight. The chair is upholstered in SofThread leather to keep you comfortable while gaming or working.
Adjustable arms, lumbar and headrest remind me of the Respawn chairs and offer customizable comfort. A plus for anyone who plans on sitting for a while. The chair allows for 180 degree reclining back angle adjustment, making this an even more comfortable chair to enjoy casual gaming.
The design is pretty reminiscent of the Respawn with black and red accenting. You could also look into black with blue, grey or green – all at lower price points.
I say casual gaming because durability and comfort doesn’t quite match the Respawn or Furious Racing chairs. Sure, the price point is promising, but that doesn’t quite make up for the mediocre materials and difficult to assemble product.
The design itself actually screams knock-off to me. It’s just not that sexy to look at, even though it seems to be trying its hardest. While it isn’t downright cheap, the OFM looks too cheap for what you’re paying. And unlike the Respawn, the OFM isn’t quite as breathable.
Overall, if you like the Respawn, but aren’t quite feeling it, the OFM could be a decent replacement. Can it stand up against the Respawn and beat it? In my opinion, no. You’re better off paying a little more for a stronger, more comfortable competitor.

8. X Rocker Sienna
REASONS TO BUY
- Highly Adjustable
- Very Comfortable
- Solid Build
- Great Price
- Comfortable Pillows
REASONS TO AVOID
- Difficult to Clean
- Lacks a Premium Feel
Our Rating: 9.1/10
The options that I’ve given so far are all clad in either real leather, real enough leather or mesh. If you’re not a fan of these materials, there is still a pretty decent option for you in the X Rocker Sienna.
For a price point of just over $140, you’re getting a pretty decent build for a fair price. Imagine the look of the Respawn 110 (no mesh backing like the Respawn 205 model), and you’ll have a pretty good idea of what the X Rocker looks like. All black, with red accenting and a pair of small “wings” on either side of the chair to cradle you into it.
Pillows for lumbar and head support are adjustable just like in the OMF and Respawn. The 4D armrests are adjustable but a little too far from the back of the chair, so it could be a bit awkward to rest your elbows while gaming. The chair height is equally adjustable using the controls under the seat.
The backrest tilts back 180 degrees for comfort and the fabric material has a pretty soft, velvety feel compared to most leather chairs. The interior of the chair is made of a wooden frame, which makes me wonder about its durability. I prefer a metal or metal/wood mix when it comes to the frame of the chair, but if you’re not planning to bounce around too much, it could be a fair option.
The chair itself is large, with dimensions of 56.50” x 74” x 127” making this a pretty ideal chair for taller gamers. Shorter gamers might like feeling like they’re sitting on the Iron Throne. Seems like a win/win.
Overall, the X Rocker is a competitive option if you’re not looking for a leather or mesh chair. Being upholstered in a fabric material, however, does warn me that any spills or stains will be hard to remove and likely could penetrate into the chair. For me personally, this is a pretty significant negative. I like to drink coffee / soda while I game and no, I’m not the most careful, especially when a match gets particularly exciting.
If you’re like me, then maybe the X Rocker isn’t ideal for you. However, if the fabric material is exactly what you were looking for, this should be your go-to. Its design is pretty impressive and is fairly easy to assemble. The armrests aren’t my favorite, but they’re not a dealbreaker. Overall, the X Rocker might just be a promising model to take for a spin.
9. Fortnite RAVEN-X Gaming Chair
REASONS TO BUY
- Comfortable
- Durable Build
- 4D Adjustable Armrests
- Attractive Design
REASONS TO AVOID
- Only for Fortnite Players
- Only 1 Pillow
Our Rating: 8.9/10
All right, all right. If you can’t stand Fortnite, you can just skip this one. But if you’re not immediately offended by it or, better yet, if you absolutely love Fortnite, specifically Raven, then the Fortnite RAVEN-X Gaming Chair is hands down the chair for you.
Forget everything else you’ve read and feel free to stop reading and just purchase this chair. For a price point of just under $180, this chair is the answer to all of your Raven-cosplaying needs. This Respawn chair looks a bit like the Respawn 110, without the headrest pillow and extendable footrest.
The Raven-X is all purple, with grey accents and “Fortnite” embossed neatly into the headrest to bring you ever closer to your beloved character. And despite its product page bragging about how you’ll be paying tribute to your favorite character, it really doesn’t have a ridiculous, over-the-top design that makes you embarrassed to sit in.
Its steel tube frame is encased in molded foam, which is highly contoured to help increase support and comfort while gaming. It also has an adjustable lumbar pillow that seems like it can be raised all the way up in order to support your head.
I do wish the chair had a separate, adjustable pillow for your head, because if you’re just using the pillow for lumbar support, and you happen to be short, then your head might be pretty uncomfortable resting against the two ergonomic holes.
The chair boasts 4D adjustability from being able to adjust the height and depth of your armrests, to being able to recline from 90 to 130 degrees with infinite locking positions. The chair has dimensions of 25” in depth, 27.37” in width and 53.94” in height. This could mean that the chair is a bit tall for younger gamers, but perhaps that’s perfect – they can look forward to growing into their Raven.
With a weight capacity of 275 pounds, this is by no means a flimsy product. Comfortable and durable enough to last hours of gaming and tall enough to delight taller gamers. Overall, if you’re excited by the design, then this is definitely the chair for you.
The only reason it’s lower on my list is because it really only suites you if you’re an avid Fortnite gamer. If not… it may look a little odd sitting in your game room and definitely sitting in your office. Unless of course, you’re the kind of boss with a sense of humor.
10. Arozzi Milano Enhanced
REASONS TO BUY
- Great Design
- Different Color Options
- Comfortable
- Solid Build
REASONS TO AVOID
- Non Adjustable Armrests
- Doesn’t Recline
- Weight Support Only up to 190 Pounds
- Assembly requires two people
Our Rating: 8.7/10
Another strong option for a gaming chair that will look pretty fierce inside your gaming cave, is the Arozzi Milano. All right, so let me be very honest. When I first saw this chair and its price point, I immediately thought – okay, this guy is probably going to the top of the list.
However, looking closer, this chair started to reveal some of its shortcomings and instantly started dropping it all the way to 10th place. Don’t get me wrong – this isn’t a terrible chair, so let me walk you through what there is to love and what might make you second guess a potential purchase.
First and foremost, the chair does come in different color options. It’s all black with accents of either white, green, red, blue or… all black. Why this isn’t too exciting, is because those color variations increase the price point pretty significantly. The version we’re looking at now (white on black) is just under $200, while the other variations get up to roughly $250.
I don’t know what that dye must be made off to hyke up the price, but it isn’t worth it. Especially because the white on black looks the best in this humble reviewer’s opinion. The chair itself has that race car design you might know and love and an adjustable lumbar pillow to help with comfort.
That’s about where the compliments for this chair end. The material is pleather and only “fine” to sit in. Comfort is fairly decent, but any particularly long gaming sessions might end in an aching body. The armchairs are not adjustable, which can be a downside if their design immediately doesn’t fit you.
The chair itself can be complicated to put together as well. The weight capacity is also pretty shockingly meager – 190 pounds. Even if you’re under the weight capacity, it makes me wonder whether this chair is able to stand the test of time, if it can’t support more than 190 pounds of weight.
And now for the final blow – it doesn’t recline. I’m not sure what inspired Arozzi Milano to create a gaming chair with no recline, but there it is. It’s possible that a reader out there is specifically looking for a chair that won’t budge when they suddenly push back against it, in which case, this chair is for you!
But for those of us looking for even a slight tilt-back, this chair is pretty limiting. When you’ve got competitors like the Furious Gaming Chair and the Respawn, both at lower price points, you have to wonder what makes the Arozzi Milano worth the higher price. If its design alone hits you just right, then this chair could be for you. Otherwise, it sits at the bottom of my list.

What Makes a Great Gaming Chair: A Buyer’s Guide
When you’re looking for the perfect addition to your game room, you have to know exactly what kind of look you’re going for. Even under $200, you’ll be faced with a lot of equally impressive options no matter the style you prefer.
Are you interested in a very gamer-style chair? Race car design and lots of tilt action? Or maybe you need this to double as an office chair and be a bit more subtle so your clients don’t know how much you absolutely kill it in Fortnite. Or perhaps you’re looking for more than a chair. You want something that lets you hear and feel the action on your screen?
You have plenty of solid choices regardless of your design preference. However, no matter the design and features you’re after, comfort is a must. You’ll be sitting in this thing for hours and having to get up after 30 minutes immediately makes the chair worthless in my book.
And finally, is it easy to assemble at home? If I have to have a degree in Engineering in order to put my purchase together, then I’m going to have to pass.
Durability and the quality of the materials is also important to keep in mind. Sure, being under $200 you can’t pretend you’ll be getting top tier, luxury materials, but you also shouldn’t settle for a chair that cracks and shows its wear after just a few months.
As my list reveals, you have some durable options that keep you well within your budget. No matter what design you prefer, making sure the chair is comfortable and stands your daily wear and tear is key when shopping around.
Best Gaming Chair Under $200
I will admit, it wasn’t easy to decide which chair would go to the top of my list. Features ended up playing a key role in determining the Respawn 110 as the victor.
Even though it wasn’t the cheapest of the 10, it did offer the same specs that most of the other chairs did (except for the obvious media-experience you get from the X Rocker Pro Series H3), with the added bonus of a footrest. This minor addition pulled the Respawn 110 to the top, but the Furious Gaming Chair, Respawn 250 and X Rocker Pro Series H3 follow behind very closely.
All four are equally strong purchases in my book so it really comes down to what you’re looking to get out of it. The X Rocker Pro Series H3 would have been my personal choice because I’m all for a fun, integrated media-extravaganza when it comes to both gaming and watching movies. I loved that it was not only comfortable, but easy to store or even take with you if you suddenly need to go on the run and a gaming chair is on your list of must-haves (perhaps you’re too good a gamer and have pissed off one too many opponents).
The only reason it fell to fourth place is because it really is either great or terrible. If you’re not interested in being enveloped by a game’s soundscape or vibrating you whenever your character sneezes, then this is certainly not what you’ll be spending your money on. I also don’t particularly like the fact that the seat puts you directing on the ground. If your television is set too high then this chair is pretty limiting.
That said, turning your attention to either the Respawn 110, 205 or Furious Gaming Chair would provide pretty excellent options that keep you comfortable while gaming, look pretty cool in your room and don’t shake you when the game decides to suddenly drop that bass. With a price point of under $200, you’ll be satisfied with your new chair and shouldn’t have to worry about needing a replacement for years of gaming fun.
