However, this is offset by the amazing battery life. You get upwards of 400 hours on a single charge (3-5 months of moderate to heavy use). And while that’s excellent, it’s obviously not ideal–Most other cheap wireless mice in 2023 use a standard system with a rechargeable battery.

To begin with, this mouse features 3 separate modes of connectivity. These modes include a 2.4 GHz connection via a USB receiver, Bluetooth, and a wired connection via USB-C. A bit surprisingly, the next on our list is a gaming mouse from Corsair. While their products are consistently high-quality, they’re almost always priced a bit higher compared to the competition.
Above all, the Corsair Harpoon RGB Wireless is an affordable wireless gaming mouse that offers a reliable wireless connection and excellent performance.
It’s a fairly lightweight (Corsair claims 99 g, but we measured 102 g) mid-to-small-sized mouse which will be perfect for gamers with smaller hands using both fingertip and claw grips. A palm grip is also an option, but you’re sure to experience some discomfort if you have larger hands.
Speaking of comfort, the Harpoon doesn’t disappoint in that regard. It features an ergonomic shape with a large hump at the back for plenty of palm support and a deep curve on the left side for better grip.
As far as connectivity options, you get a total of three total–2.4 GHz wireless via an included wireless receiver, BlueTooth, and standard wired connection using the included 1.8m braided cable should you run out of battery.
For the 2.4 GHz connection, Corsair has applied its acclaimed Slipstream wireless technology even to this cheaper mouse. Slipstream wireless can upwards of double the speed at which your clicks and movements are registered, allowing for connection speeds of less than 1 millisecond while also maintaining the consistent signal quality and accuracy required for competitive FPS gaming.
Moreover, build quality is another major selling point of the Corsair Harpoon RGB Wireless. The body is made of sturdy-feeling matte plastic and features a contoured shape and rubber side grips, which allow for a better grip and control during gaming.
What we really liked about this mouse and what you’ll also appreciate are the primary buttons. Corsair opted for Omron switches, which not only are rated to last at least 50 million clicks, they perform and feel fantastic–They have a short travel distance with very responsive and snappy clicks, perfect for fast-paced action.
Software-wise, you get the full customization package using Corsair’s iCUE software, which, on top of the extensive customization, is one of the most user-friendly software on the market. You’ll be able to easily reprogram the buttons, assign macros, change your DPI and polling rate settings, and of course, program the RGB lighting.
Now, while we really like what Corsair did with this mouse, there are some drawbacks we need to note. First of all, the battery is fairly short, especially for a Corsair product. You only get around 30 hours (45 hours with the RGB off), meaning you’ll have to charge the mouse every couple of days.
And second, it’s slightly more expensive compared to similarly performing mice, and it definitely feels like you’re paying extra just for the brand. The value is there, though, but probably not for someone who’s looking to save every dollar.
Overall though, the Corsair Harpoon RGB Wireless is still one of the best budget wireless gaming mice on the market in 2023. It’s a sturdy, well-performing, and comfortable gaming mouse that’s perfect for competitive FPS games thanks to its ergonomics and excellent primary buttons. The Uhuru WM-08 is the go-to option for FPS gamers on a really tight budget with an extremely low price tag of less than $20. For such a low price, we usually expect the worst, but we were pleasantly surprised this time. Of course, there are some notable drawbacks, but for the money, you will not be disappointed.
The Uhuru WM-08 is a completely functional gaming mouse that offers a reliable wireless connection, a lightweight construction, and vibrant RGB lighting. Admittedly, it uses cheap plastic for the construction, which in combination with the honeycomb design, raises some concerns about the longevity of the mouse.
The measurements for this mouse are 125 x 64 x 40 millimeters, which puts it in the middle of the pack and makes it a good fit for medium to large hands. Shape-wise, it’s nearly an identical copy of the Logitech G Pro X, which means that it should be comfortable for most users.
Now, the wireless connectivity of the WM-08 is convenient, using a 2.4 GHz connection that allows for easy plug-and-play usage without the need for additional drivers. With a reliable range of up to 10 meters, you can enjoy seamless gameplay without worrying about signal interruptions.
Our first gripe is the battery life, which is below average for today’s standards. The mouse is equipped with a 750mAh rechargeable battery, which provides an average battery life of approximately 30-40 hours.
Also, unlike the budget mice from Redragon, it doesn’t offer USB-C charging, so charging to 100% battery life will take around 2 hours using the included 59-inch charging cable.
In terms of RGB, the WM-08 offers some basic effects but not a whole lot in terms of customization. It features 11 LED backlights, allowing you to personalize your gaming atmosphere to an extent. By clicking the LED light button located at the bottom of the mouse, you can cycle through different lighting modes.
However, it’s important to note that the solid color mode only displays green and is not customizable. If you prefer a more subtle or non-illuminated setup, you can simply turn off the backlight by switching the power button.
What further limits the mouse’s customizability is the lack of dedicated software–Everything is done on the mouse itself, which also means that none of the buttons are programmable.
The performance of this mouse is solid, with fairly crisp primary buttons and a decent optical sensor that provides flawless tracking. However, the DPI is limited, with only four adjustable DPI levels: 800, 1600, 3200, and 4800. The default DPI setting is 800, but you can easily switch between the levels using the dedicated DPI button.
The Uhuru WM-08 is compatible with Windows and MacOS, with the exception of the side buttons, which do not work with macOS. In terms of construction, the mouse is well-built and feels sturdy in hand–It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy despite its lower price tag. It measures 123 x 92 x 42 mm and weighs in at whopping 170 grams, which is extremely heavy for a gaming mouse, but that’s to be expected with an MMO mouse.
The sheer size and weight of this mouse are not a problem if you’re going to use it for what it was intended to do, which is play strategy and MMO games. Everyday use is also comfortable, thanks to the ergonomics, and a Palm grip is obviously the only option with this mouse.
Additionally, the dual-mode functionality of this mouse offers the convenience of both 2.4 GHz wireless and USB-C wired connections. This means you can enjoy the freedom of wireless gameplay or switch to a wired connection when low latency and uninterrupted performance are essential.
Now, the 12 side buttons provide an exceptional advantage for MMO gaming, allowing you to map complex keybindings and unleash your full potential in the virtual battlefield.
The only gripe we have with this mouse is the primary buttons, which are average at best. They will get the job done but have a noticeable debounce time and feel a bit mushy. It performs like a standard budget mouse in this regard.

By utilizing a 2.4 GHz dongle, this mouse ensures a stable and lag-free connection, allowing you to react quickly and accurately during intense battles. In case your battery dies on you during gameplay, you can switch to a wired mode with the included USB-C cable.
When it comes to precision, the M686 doesn’t disappoint as well. It is equipped with a wide range of DPI options, offering five onboard DPI levels (1000/2000/4000/8000/16000). The sensor in this mouse is an optical PixArt PAW 3335, essentially the best you can have in this price range.
